Race Season 2020-2021

King of the Mountain

With the Auckland area moving from Lockdown level 3 back to level 2, racing is able to continue!  The team loaded up the midget and travelled back down to Stratford Speedway to compete for the King of the Mountain title, where the weather was keeping a constant drizzle of rain on the track.  The first race was very slippery however Ricky was able to drive a sensible race and move forward to second place.  With racing well underway the track started to really transfer into a drivey track, and heat two saw Ricky able to run an 'elbows up' pace and take the win!  Heat three and Ricky was looking very well on points and starting the race from the front row, a consistent drive saw Ricky take the race win and with it the King of the Mountain title!

Congrgulations to Chris Bagrie on 2nd place and Mitch Fabish on 3rd. A big thanks to the Stratford Speedway club, especially Dean and Steve for all their hard work putting on this meeting, and as always a massive thank you to my crew for all of their hard work throughout the night!
